A differential gear allows the drive wheels in a vehicle to spin at different speeds. This is important as the path of the inner and outer wheel are different during a turn (an outer wheel must turn quicker as it has to travel a longer distance than the inner wheel).  We offer specialty differentials such as a limited slip and lockers: A limited slip differential allows various mechanisms to transfer more power to a non-slipping wheel. This kind of differential would be beneficial in a situation such as a single wheel slipping on ice, as it would allow the vehicle to keep better traction with the non – slipping wheel. A locker will maximize traction by delivering 100% of available torque to both wheels and keeps them in a constant drive mode. This kind of differential is commonly seen in a variety of 4x4 vehicles forcing both wheels to turn in unison.
