Clutches

The function of a clutch is to allow for the vehicle’s transmission to be either engaged or disengaged from the engine. When a clutch is disengaged (foot on the pedal) power is unable to flow through the transmission, also, when a clutch is engaged (foot off the pedal) the clutch, fly wheel and disc ‘lock’ together, allowing the power of the engine to flow through the transmission.
